Singer/Songwriter and musicologist Gail Sparlin crafts blues influenced pop songs colored with her childhood influences of folk, country, and jazz. A northern Minnesota native and a music educator, Gail performs in the capital district of upstate New York. Gail’s most recent projects include an original musical titled Pokegama Hotel, a NYSCA grant recipient produced in 2014, and a song cycle based on the writings of Kurt Vonnegut, performed this fall for the Albany Public Library’s Reading Music Series.
